Dr. Brian Tobias, DO Education History
Dr. Tobias received his undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana; where he was an NCAA Division I collegiate swimmer.
He received his graduate medical degree from the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, in Kirksville, Missouri.
He obtained his postgraduate medical training through the Michigan State University Statewide Campus System, completing an internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, and his orthopedic surgery residency at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Tobias completed his fellowship in hand and reconstructive microsurgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute / Tampa General Hospital, and the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Tobias has held academic appointments at several distinguished Texas institutions including the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, the Fort Worth Orthopedic Residency Program at John Peter Smith Hospital and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He was also a visiting scholar at Chang Gung University, in Taipei, Taiwan; in the Department of Plastics and Reconstructive Microsurgery.
Dr. Tobias holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in hand surgery and has 25 years of combined academic and private practice experience.
